Girls Golf State Champs

It was cold, wet, and tough out there at Hilton Head Lakes,
but the Hilton Head Island Seahawks handled it like champions —
winning the 4-AAAA Girls Golf State Title by 30 shots.

Big thanks to Coach Nathan Campbell of May River
and the Hilton Head Lakes staff for putting on a great event and
keeping things running smoothly despite the weather. The course held up strong
through the rain, and every player showed grit from start to finish.

Hilton Head’s two-day total of 616 (+14) wasn’t just good enough
to win — it was the lowest team score of any state championship played
in South Carolina that day. From start to finish, the Seahawks
stayed steady, disciplined, and confident through the conditions.

Sophomore Harper Hedden led the charge with rounds of 73-70 (143,
-1) to claim Individual State Champion honors —
the only player in the entire field to finish under par. Her calm approach and
steady play anchored the Seahawks throughout the championship.
